The Episcopal church in downtown Anchorage is an orthodox Anglican Church affiliated with the Anglican Communion Network (ACN). Our purpose is to proclaim the gospel so that together we may worship the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him in the world. |

We accept the doctrine of the Anglican Way as it is grounded in the holy Scriptures, and in such teachings of the ancient Fathers and councils of the Church as are agreeable to the said Scriptures. In particular, we receive such doctrine as it is to be found in the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Ordinal (as all three of these are printed in the english edition of 1662, the American edition of 1928 and the Canadian edition of 1962 of the Book of Common Prayer.) |

Collect for the Day of Pentecost
(Whitsunday)
Almighty God, on this day you opened the way of eternal life to every race and nation by the promised gift of your Holy Spirit: Shed abroad this gift throughout the world by the preaching of the Gospel, that it may reach to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Today we pray for the congregation at St. Savior’s, Skagway. We also remember St. Paul’s, Grayling; St. Luke’s, Shageluk; Christ Church, Anvik; the Clatworthys, Linquists, Todd Kelly, Pete Newton and Dottie Gleason; and overseas; Lennie Cestaro, Liam Grimes, Jason, Jerry Thornton, Joshua Wilson, Dawn Bodie, Ryan Collins and Daniel Newcomer.
The Flowers on the altar are given to the Glory of God by Betty Jean and Fred Olin, Donna and Jim Basinger and Cynthia and Mart Wilson in honor and celebration of high school graduates, Hope Basinger, Orion Olin and Andrew Wilson.
We thank The Venerable Norman H. V. Elliott for being our Celebrant today.
We thank Hope Basinger, Orion Olin, Marisa Bennett, Ellie Asay, Paris Bennett, Paula Tornga and Brooklin Bennett for being our Acolytes today.

As of Sunday, May 4th the 8:30 a.m. service has collected nothing and the 10:45 a.m. service collected a ton thanks to Fish Whisperer, Larry Ransom.
